Real learning doesn’t happen behind a desk—it happens in the soil. In this article, I show how moving to a new farm in central Spain taught hard lessons about humility, observation, and adaptation. Through daily practice, guided correction, and persistence, we learned that integrity, respect, and competence are earned one season at a time. Every mistake, every hands-on effort, became a lesson in resilience, discipline, and systems thinking—principles that shape both effective farming and meaningful climate education.
