Most learning is a waste of time. People memorize, click “complete,” and leave with nothing that actually works in the real world. In this article, I show why extractive learning fails—and why Regenerative Instructional Design is the only approach that builds real skill, judgment, and consequence-driven competence. If you want learners who can act under pressure, read systems, and make change happen, this is the framework you cannot ignore.
